Taylor Swift used Sharpie as eyeliner

Sometimes, even the biggest stars make silly compact mirror faux pas. One celeb to admit to this is Taylor Swift, who was once caught short when travelling through Japan on tour.

Speaking to DailyMakeover.com, the star said that she once used a Sharpie permanent marker when she found herself without make-up.

The 21-year-old country singing sensation explained how she found herself on a plane to Japan about two years ago and went into the bathroom to use the pen to mark her eyes.

However, it's not exactly something Ms Swift is proud of, warning fellow compact mirror users away from the measure: "I definitely don't recommend drawing on your eyes with a Sharpie."

After rumours circled overhead regarding her love interests, it was recently confirmed that Taylor is dating Brokeback Mountain and Donnie Darko star Jake Gyllenhaal, though the pair are playing their relationship cool in the media.
