Taylor Swift is 'make-up junkie'

Taylor Swift, the country singer who has just become the newest face of CoverGirl, has shared a number of her makeup secrets and disasters with fans this week.

The star, who does her own make-up in her compact mirror when on tour, admitted to E! Online that she is a makeup junkie and used to think it was fine to put black eyeshadow all the way from the lash to eyebrow, though now knows better.

Taylor started experimenting with make-up owned by her mother when she was much younger and learned by trial and error after terrible results in middle school. Now, she says, the combination of bold eyeliner, minimal eyeshadow and standard red lips is perfect for her. 

She said: "I just feel like it really helps you show emotion when your mouth is really defined - when you're upset, if you're happy, if you're smiling - all that's really defined. When you're projecting your emotions to a large group of people like that, you want it to be something that's really definitive."

Many may know Taylor Swift for an incident at the MTV Video Music Awards in 2009, when rapper Kanye West came on stage and took the microphone from Swift during an acceptance speech to say that Beyonce deserved the award more.
