Make-up mirror news: Lady Gaga dazzles in magazine shoot

V Magazine will undoubtedly catch the eye of many people browsing the shelves this week, as Lady Gaga and Marc Jacobs grace the front cover in a stylish homage to Lady Liberty.

The singer, who continues to go from strength to strength in the charts, wore her hair in a distinctive seven-spike style to mimic Liberty's crown while holding a burning paper torch.

Her make-up mirror certainly helped out as the toned Gaga looked to be at the top of her game, looking glamorous without the need for too much foundation or blusher.

Wearing black underwear that left little to the imagination, the singer was accompanied by fashion designer Jacobs for the shoot, which was carried out by acclaimed photographer Mario Testino.

Also in the shoot were Debbie Harry, Scissor Sisters singer Jake Shears and DJ Mark Ronson.

This week, it was revealed by Gaga's former tour manager David Ciemny that the artist was hospitalised six times in 2009 due to crash dieting, which he attributed to her obsession with her weight.
