Make-up is 'much more flexible than you may realise'
21 December 2010 11:36
Want to maximise the potential of your make-up? It may be a case of applying certain things on other parts of the face when you next look in your compact mirror.
Such is the view of the Times of India, which explained how lipgloss is not just for the lips, stating that people should instead try dabbing a little bit over the eyelid.
"It just gives that perfect shine to your face," it explained. "If you rub a wee amount of gloss on your cheek, it will give your look a dewy feel. For those smoky eyes, you could also smudge your dark coloured lip gloss on your eyes."
Mascara was also highlighted as extremely flexible, as it can be used to boost thin eyebrows to make them look fuller or keep larger, wilder eyebrows in place.
It follows recommendations from Napoleon Perdis, a make-up guru writing for the Huffington Post, for Christmas make-up. He said that people should aim for "mistletoe chic": in a compact mirror by matching the colour of mistletoe with smoky green eyeshadow.
