Lady Gaga appearance proves need for compact mirror

Despite shocking locals in New York City last night by performing an impromptu gig, it seems that Lady Gaga has surprised many by not spending enough time in front of her compact mirror.

The 24-year-old singing sensation decided to get up in front of a small group of fans at the Oak Room, which she attended with current beau Luc Carl, though it seems like she didn't have enough time to sort out her make-up.

Her orange palms were a dead giveaway of her fake tan, yet the singer had overcompensated with too much foundation and powder on her face, so photos of the star didn't look too amazing.

Nonetheless, her keen dress sense was able to carry her through in the visual stakes, as Gaga wore a bondage dress when singing Nat King Cole's Orange Coloured Sky as well as George and Ira Gershwin's Someone to Watch Over Me.

Lady Gaga has had an amazing year, becoming the most popular artist on Spotify in 2010and also having the best-selling album with The Fame Monster.
