Hangover make-up tips offered for compact mirror users

Feeling woozy after a few too many drinks on a night out, yet need to look your best in your compact mirror? Worry not, as tips have been offered by a BellaSugar writer.

Gina Brooke, who has worked with Madonna, Anne Hathaway and Gisele Bundchen, said that ladies can reduce eye puffiness by applying a mask that contains pro-vitamin B5, minimising inflammation while also hydrating the face.

A quick home remedy can be concocted by soaking caffeinated tea bags in water and place them in the refrigerator the night before. Putting these on your eyes for 15 minutes will help.

She continued: "To even out skin tone, mask dullness and give much-needed hydration to your dry face (remember that alcohol is dehydrating and robs your skin of its moisture), first apply a primer; it will lock in moisture and reduce redness, as well as smooth your skin."

Finally, if your eyes are bloodshot, neutral eye shadow shades with a yellow base will "instantly counter any redness".

One woman unable to use eye make-up well this week was Eva Longoria, who came under fire after her under-eye concealer was revealed with ease under the flashbulbs of paparazzi cameras.
