Festive functions 'need good make-up'

Whether in business or in a personal capacity, parties are everywhere this Christmas, so ladies will want to look their best for these gatherings, a new report has said.

That's why Skin Inc gave some handy tips for women to stay great-looking during the festive season. It said that maintaining a look can be hard, adding: "As the day goes by, even the best-applied makeup will slip and fade."

If lipstick and lip liner goes awry, it recommended a fresh application to revive the look. Applying a light layer of lip conditioner to soften and smooth the mouth is the best approach, it continued.

Meanwhile, if the eyes start to look messy, a compact mirror should be used in tandem with a cotton swab and moisturiser to clean the area as "it works great for quick clean-ups and won't break down the make-up you apply over it".

Applying a little foundation or concealer under the eyes to brighten and highlight the centre of the face is also great, the source added.

People looking to dazzle with a different look were told by Allure magazine this week that electric eyeliner is a wonderful way to draw attention to the eyes.
