'Fast and fabulous' compact mirror tips

A number of tips have been offered to women looking to change their look for the better at short notice in their compact mirror.

In a report for the Star Tribune, it was first recommended that ladies look alive and hide fatigue by brightening the whites of their eyes with a flesh-coloured pencil, lining the inside rims.

Skin ought to look sparkling, according to Fiona Stiles, a make-up artist in New York City and Los Angeles who said: "Clear, even skin is what makes the difference between looking dishevelled and looking done." She recommended extra coverage with on concealer and foundation.

Meanwhile, the eyes are always the focal point of the face, so they must be the centre of compact mirror attention after using concealer, the paper added. Shimmery eyeshadow is the best thing, Ms Stiles explained. 

While eyeshadow and eyeliner are considered must-haves for women, singer Taylor Swift recent admitted to DailyMakeover.com that she was caught short without either, and resorted to using a Sharpie permanent market on her eyelids.
