Christmas make-up looks are 'easy' to achieve

21 December 2010 11:35

Women hoping to reflect festive cheers in their make-up will have plenty of luck with a few strategies in their compact mirrors, it has been claimed.

Napoleon Perdis, a specialist make-up guru writing for the Huffington Post, spoke of "mistletoe chic": matching the colour of mistletoe with "sultry smoky green eyeshadow".

He said that ladies should begin with a coat of mascara to frame the eyes before following up with green eye pencil on the top and lower lash line and blend.

Pressing a deep green shadow over the eye pencil application will boost the smoky effect, he added, before concluding; "Add a forest green shade to the outer corners for definition. Pair up your look with a nude pink shade."

Gold is also great, Mr Perdis added, so a gold lipgloss may be in order. "There's really no better time of year to deck yourself out in a little gold," he added.

This week, the Times of India recommended using lipgloss elsewhere on the face, notably the eyelids as it gives them a dewy look.
