Brides want 'a touch of luxury' in their weddings
24 December 2010 13:55
A wedding is the perfect time for brides-to-be to spend some time looking into their compact mirrors to ensure they look their best, and research suggests they'll be looking for a touch of luxury for the big day too.
Helen Webster, editor at Perfect Wedding, said everyone is still looking to save money in the current economic climate, but savvy brides will be saving money in some areas and spending more in others.
"For example, we are seeing dresses available for under £1,000 which are more glamorous, decorated with much more embroidery and crystal to give that decadent feel," she commented.
Ms Webster went on to say that she expects to see a trend for enhancing smaller details, such as the flowers or cake, as a focal point for weddings.
Kate Middleton will no doubt spend plenty of time with her compact mirror prior to her forthcoming wedding to Prince William in April 2011.
